To make your stay at Hotel Perner as pleasant as possible, we have compiled the most frequently asked questions for you. Here you will find information about booking, arrival, your stay and our services.

If your question is not answered, we will of course be happy to help you personally.

What are the check-in times?

Check-in from 14:00

What are the check-out times?

Check-Out until 10:00 a.m.

Are dogs allowed in the hotel?

Dogs are welcome in our hotel. We charge Euro 25,-- for a small dog and Euro 35,-- for a large dog per night without food.

We reserve the right to charge a final cleaning fee in the event of heavy soiling. Dogs are not allowed in the hotel restaurant for breakfast and dinner.

Two bowls are provided in your room.

Perner's dog etiquette

Dogs are very welcome at Alpenhotel Perner! We ask you not to let your four-legged friend jump on the bed or sofa. We are happy to provide blankets on request.

Speaking of room service: Our staff can only tidy the rooms when the dog is not in them. If your four-legged friend is in the room, please hang the "Do not disturb" card on the door. Thank you very much!

If your dog damages the inventory or makes something dirty, we will take the liberty of charging you for this.

Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant and wellness area. Dogs must be kept on a lead in public areas.

In order to guarantee cleanliness in Obertauern, we ask you to dispose of your dog's droppings. You will find red bins with poop bags in front of the hotel and throughout Obertauern.

Can I buy lift tickets at the hotel?

Lift tickets can be purchased at reception. All lift tickets are available except points tickets.

For group ski passes (min. 20) please contact the lift company. (06456/7298)

Lift passes can also be purchased at the Raiffeisenbank, which is located in our building.

Do you have an underground parking garage?

We have a free underground parking space for our house guests. The height of the underground garage entrance is 2.30m. For vehicles higher than 2.30m and gas-powered cars, we have an outdoor parking lot very close to the hotel.

Do you have e-car charging stations?

There are 4 e-charging stations in our underground garage and a Supercharger right next to the hotel at the Haus des Gastes.

Is there a pharmacy in Obertauern?

There is a pharmacy opposite our hotel in the Arzthaus Dr. Aufmesser.

Where is the nearest ATM?

There is an ATM with 24-hour access in the Raiffeisenbank in our building.

Do you provide a luggage room/changing room?

You can store your luggage in our luggage room before you check into your room or after you check out. You are also welcome to change there.

Are there children's playrooms in the hotel?

We offer a children's playroom for younger children and a youth room with bouldering wall, table tennis, I-Wall, interactive games table, billiards and table soccer.

How can I pay when I check out?

You can pay your bill in cash, with Visa Card, MasterCard or debit card.

How much is the local tax?

The tax per overnight stay from the age of 16 is Euro 4.00 from the 25/26 season.
This is Euro 3.50 overnight stay tax and Euro 0.50 mobility contribution.

Is there a fitness studio in the hotel?

Yes, there is a fitness studio in the hotel with 24-hour free access.

What are your cancellation conditions?

You can cancel free of charge up to 3 months before arrival, we will retain the deposit paid as a processing fee.
From 3 months to 1 month prior to arrival, the cancellation fee is 40% of the booking price.
From 1 month to 1 week prior to arrival, the cancellation fee is 70% of the booking price.
In the event of cancellation within the last week before arrival or early departure, we will charge 100% of the booking price.

We strongly recommend that all guests take out travel insurance to avoid any costs in the event of cancellation!

What saunas are there in the hotel?

One outdoor sauna - the Almsauna, three indoor saunas - two soft and one Finnish sauna, two infrared cabins and an aroma steam bath.

Are there sauna rules?

The usual sauna rules apply: quiet behavior, no sweat on the wood. The sauna area is a nude area. The sauna may only be entered without clothing. Children up to the age of 12 are only permitted in the sauna area if accompanied by their parents.

What is the dress code in the dining room?

Dress with style and comfort. Please do not wear bathing sandals, shorts or ski clothing.

Is the tap water drinkable?

Yes. Our tap water is spring water and of excellent quality.

Is there W-LAN in the hotel?

W-LAN is of course available to you free of charge. Select the network welcome@hotel-perner.at to establish the connection, no password is required.

Is there a safe in the room?

Yes, there is a safe in every room to store your valuables.

What are the opening hours of the wellness area?

The indoor pool is open from 07:00 to 20:00. The sauna area is open from 15:00 to 20:00.

What are the breakfast times?

You can enjoy our breakfast from 07:30 to 10:00.

When is the dining room open for dinner?

Our evening meal is available from 18:30 to 20:00.

What are the reception opening hours?

Our reception is open from 07:30 to 22:00.

Do I need to bring my own slippers?

As sustainability is very important to us at our hotel, we ask you to bring your own slippers. If you forget them, you can get disposable slippers free of charge at reception.

Do you provide bathrobes?

You will find a bath bag with bathrobes in your room on arrival. Children's bathrobes are available on request at reception.

What should I bear in mind if I arrive after 22:00?

Reception is open until 22:00. If you arrive later, we will leave the room card in a key safe located on the left-hand side of our underground garage entrance.

Is there a ski cellar?

Each room has its own lockable ski locker with ski boot dryer.

Can I use the wellness area as a non-hotel guest?

Our wellness area and swimming pool are reserved for our hotel guests only. However, guests from outside the hotel can also enjoy a massage or beauty treatment in our Alpenspa. Appointments for treatments are available at reception.

Is there a smoking lounge in the hotel?

There is a spacious smoking lounge in the hotel for smokers. Smoking is prohibited in all other areas!

Where is the nearest ski rental?

The ski rental and sports shop "Gefäll" is located in our building. If you have any questions or are interested, please contact Sport Gefäll.

What is the temperature of the swimming pool?

The water temperature is a pleasant 29° Celsius and the room temperature is 31° Celsius.

What size is the swimming pool?

The swimming pool has a water surface of 120m².

Is there a supermarket nearby?

There is a SPAR supermarket very close to our hotel (300m distance, walking time approx. 4min, direction Gamsleiten 1 lift)

Is there a bus stop near the hotel?

The bus stop "Obertauern Passhöhe" is right next door for trips to Radstadt or opposite our hotel if you are coming from the direction of Radstadt (regional bus 280). The distance to Radstadt train station is 21km and the journey takes around 30 minutes.

Ski out:

From the ski cellar, turn right behind the hotel. From there you can take the Pernerlift up to the Zentralbahn.

Ski in:

Either from the Zehnerkarbahn or from the Gamsleitenbahn 1 to the 14a. Take the ski path behind the houses towards Kinderland and then you only need to cross the road to the hotel.

Which ski school do you recommend?

There are excellent ski schools in Obertauern. In our immediate vicinity is the CSA Silvia Grillitsch ski school which we can also recommend.

Is it possible to have vegan dishes for dinner?

Yes, it is possible, but please let us know when you make your booking. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible on the day of arrival.

I have an allergy/intolerance. What should I do?

Please let us know at the time of booking if you have any intolerances so that our kitchen team can plan accordingly.

Is there a cigarette machine in Obertauern?

There is a cigarette machine in Obertauern directly to the right in front of the Skiworld sports store. You can also buy cigarettes from us at the hotel bar, in the SPAR supermarket or in the Alpenshop.

Is there a store for souvenirs or gifts?

Yes, we have a store for young and old right here in the hotel next to reception. Homemade products, homemade spirits, specialties,...

Can I buy vouchers at Hotel Perner?

Vouchers can be purchased directly at the reception or directly in our online shop.

Is there an afternoon snack?

No, there is not, but we offer free tea every afternoon in our winter garden. However, you are very welcome to enjoy the "Pernerei" delicacies in our daytime restaurant.

Is there a hairdressing salon in Obertauern?

Is there a dog sitter in Obertauern?

Yes, the Ski School CSA Silvia Grillitsch offers this service. Please contact the ski school directly.

Does the Hotel Perner offer a personal shuttle service?

No, but we are of course happy to help you organize a cab at any time. Please contact our reception.

Are there rooms with a balcony?

No, our rooms in the hotel do not have a balcony, but our apartments in the adjoining building have a terrace.

When do I have to pay the bill?

The bill must be paid on the day of check-out or the evening before. You can pay your bill in cash, with Visa Card, MasterCard or debit card.

Where can the lift tickets be returned?

You can return the lift tickets directly to us at reception! It is also possible to return them directly at the Raiffeisenbank or at the vending machine in front of the Raiffeisenbank. Of course you can also return them at any larger lift station.
